"I am currently working as a Dance teacher at Valley Park School in Maidstone, Kent. I joined Hillview School as an eager Year 7 in 2000 and left in 2007 as a determined young woman. I gained 11 GCSEs as well as A-Levels in Dance, English Literature and Geography which enabled me to further my studies and in 2010 I graduated from Chichester University with a degree in Dance. I then decided to pursue my ambition of becoming a teacher and applied for the Graduate Teacher Programme through Kent County Council. After two interviews (one with Hillview and one with the Council), I was informed that I had been successful and had gained a place on the Graduate Teacher Programme at Hillview. I had a fantastic year at Hillview whilst completing my teacher training and felt privileged to learn to teach in the school and alongside the teachers who had inspired me to achieve my goals. As for the future, I plan to continue teaching and work towards becoming an Advanced Skills Teacher."

"I am currently in my second year of university studying International Fashion Marketing and Journalism where I would not be if the Hillview Sixth Form team had not given me the confidence and guidance to do so. I was always certain that university was the path I should take to continue my time in education, but as the time drew nearer to apply, it was scary and daunting.
After speaking to the Sixth Form team I knew that they were there to support me and offered me as much advice and, more importantly, time that I needed. Hillview are there to support those who have the willingness and dedication to work hard and want a bright future and career. It helped me to secure 12 A* - C grade GCSEs and A Levels in English Literature and Language, Dance, Geography and Extended Project. More importantly it gained me a place at a great university. Hillview Sixth Form has a strong positive atmosphere to it. Everyone is acknowledged and offered lots of support throughout the two most important years of their education. The teachers are inspiring and creative and as a performing arts student, the confidence I grew through Dance was second to none. I will always look back on Hillview with fond memories and somewhere I grew into a confident adult."
