With specialisms in the Performing and Visual Arts, Hillview Sixth form offers countless opportunities to get involved in all aspects of school life and to develop skills that go beyond the narrow confines of the syllabus: students star in, direct and produce plays; there are numerous dance, drama, fashion and art events throughout the year; they take on leadership roles, as well as participating in the Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme and a variety of community projects, both inside and outside school. You will also undertake at least one work experience placement whilst studying with us.
Our Employability and Careers Adviser is qualified to MA level and offers impartial advice and guidance. We also have the support of a qualified careers adviser from an outside careers company. As a sixth form student, you can call in to see the Employability and Careers Adviser at any time or make an appointment. You will also receive extensive support and advice from university and apprenticeship ‘ ambassadors’ and from other employers.
All students receive excellent, individual support in their applications to Higher Education or work. This ensures that students feel confident and well prepared when applying to some of the most competitive courses.
