What an amazing day! At Sunday’s London Marathon, the girls watched and cheered on Mo Farrah, managed to get on telly, stunted in front of Buckingham Palace and got to support all of the athletes who ran the marathon for the NSPCC. The organisers loved them and have already asked them to do it again next year!
So many runners commented on how lovely our girls were and how nice it was to be welcomed by them when they finished. They were a credit to the school and had fantastic energy all day.
The NSPCC have sinced emailed our cheerleaders these lovely comments:
They are absolutely amazing. We haven’t stopped hearing from our runners how amazing it was to be welcomed back by them – it was our “hero’s welcome” as we are naming it. The crowds on the Mall were all looking over and it certainly got the NSPCC lots of attention! They were all absolutely incredible and full of energy and enthusiasm. The chant they made was amazing – we have tried for so long to come up with a good chant for the NSPCC so that was excellent. Please do pass on my personal thanks to each and everyone of them, aswell as these comments from our runners:
“Please let your cheerleaders know they were absolutely amazing everyone was buzzing”
“I loved the cheer squad at entrance to the meeting point.”
