GCSE Results Day 2025
We are thrilled to celebrate the outstanding achievements of our Year 11 students. This year, an impressive 165 students – representing 75% of those who sat exams at Hillview – achieved grades 4 or above in both English and Maths. In addition, 76% of all subject entries resulted in a pass or higher (in comparison to 67.4% nationally), reflecting the consistent effort and determination of our students.
Our students have shown exceptional tenacity, motivation, and commitment throughout their studies, and they should be incredibly proud of all they have accomplished. As always, we are proud to highlight those who have gone above and beyond in their learning. This year, 117 students (53.2%) achieved top grades of 7–9, or equivalent, in at least one subject, across a wide range of subjects, demonstrating excellence across the full breadth of our curriculum.
These achievements are the result of a shared effort – from our dedicated students and inspirational teachers to the tireless support of our staff team and the ongoing encouragement from parents and carers. Our broad and personalised curriculum continues to enable students to realise their Pure Potential.
We also wish to make special mention of the students who joined the school from abroad mid-way through their secondary education, many of whom went on to excel in their GCSEs.
We are proud of all of our students, with too many success stories to include but with particular mention to: Annabelle Lever: 1 grade 9, 5 grade 8s, 2 grade 7s, 1 grade 6 and 1 grade 5 Phoebe Hammond: 2 grade 9s, 4 grade 8s, 1 grade 7 and 2 grade 6s, for not only high levels of achievement but also for making exceptional progress whilst at Hillview.

We would also like to commend Liza Zapototska: 1 grade 9, 2 grade 6s and 7 grade 5s. These grades represented astounding progress for a student who studied for her GCSEs whilst also learning English as a second language.
We are excited to continue working with the majority of our students as they move into Hillview Sixth Form or The View@East St. For those embarking on new journeys elsewhere, we wish them every success in the future.
