Year 7 To Build or Not to Build Day

Today, Year 7 took part in a village design challenge, working in teams as a Village Design Company tasked with creating a new sustainable village at Tudeley. Students explored different careers involved in planning a community, with each team member taking on a specific role. They researched the proposed development and worked together to create a large, labelled village plan that included homes, services and community facilities. Teams then presented their designs to the class and evaluated each other’s work before voting for the best designs. The day finished with students reflecting on their achievements through Unifrog and voting for the overall winning village design. The project helped develop teamwork, creativity and problem-solving skills while introducing students to careers in planning and sustainability.
