Year 7 Wellbeing Event

06 Feb

On Friday 6 February, all Year 7 students took part in a dedicated wellbeing event designed to support them through the important transition from primary to secondary school. We recognise that this period can bring new challenges and uncertainties, and the event aimed to help students build confidence, resilience and essential coping strategies. The day was supported by external agencies, including KOOTH and the Emotional Wellbeing Team, alongside Hillview staff. Students participated in a carousel of activities in class groups and smaller groups, focusing on key areas identified as particularly beneficial for the year group. The Emotional Wellbeing Team delivered a Worry Workshop, while Hillview staff led sessions using KOOTH support materials covering Friendships and Boundaries and Cyberbullying. The event was a valuable opportunity for students to reflect, ask questions and develop skills to support their emotional wellbeing both in and out of school.
