Year 12 Roll Up Their Sleeves for Volunteers Day

Our very first Year 12 Volunteers Day was a huge success, with students heading out across the local community to give their time, energy and enthusiasm to a fantastic range of projects.

From supporting local charities and community groups, to renovating gardens and community spaces, helping at Age UK and Aspens, collecting food for FEAST Community Food Larder, baking hundreds of cupcakes for people experiencing homelessness, performing for residents at Rosewell House & Barnes Lodge, and supporting Hillview's Sports Day, our students made a real difference throughout the day.

It was wonderful to see so many students embracing the opportunity to try something new, work alongside local organisations, and give something back to the community. They represented Hillview brilliantly, showing kindness, initiative and a real willingness to get stuck in.

A huge thank you to all of the charities, organisations and volunteers who welcomed our students, and to the staff who helped make the day possible. Most of all, well done to our Year 12 students for making our very first Volunteers Day such a memorable one—we're already looking forward to doing it all again next year!
