Year 7 Trip to Herstmonceux Science Observatory
Year 7 students enjoyed an exciting educational trip to the The Observatory Science Centre. The visit gave students the chance to explore science through hands-on experiments and interactive workshops.
Throughout the day, pupils took part in a wide range of practical activities, making science both fun and memorable. Students experimented with water-powered investigations, explored forces and motion, and tested different scientific ideas for themselves. A favourite part of the visit was the Discovery Park, where pupils could interact with outdoor exhibits and investigate science through play and exploration.
Students also learned about space, light, and gravity while using real scientific equipment. One of the highlights was seeing the giant telescopes inside the historic observatory domes.
Teachers praised the students for their enthusiasm and excellent behaviour throughout the trip. Many students said the hands-on activities made learning much more exciting and helped them understand scientific concepts in a fun way.
The visit was both educational and enjoyable, inspiring many young scientists to continue exploring the wonders of science and space.
